Heh, went out to the Cloverdale Canada day celebrations and got stuffed on cotton candy and sushi.  Bif Naked played and she's still got it.  The concert was a hoot.  54/40 also played and it was a pleasant surprise hearing songs and realizing that you've heard of them before.

Tomorrow, I'll be heading out to a Parkour gathering in North Burnaby.  Been a little lazy on the workouts this week.  Hope I will be able to keep up with everyone.
 

Has it really been 3 years since I've last updated this thing?

Heh, wonder if anyone still reads it.

So much has happened in this last year and yet I have posted so little... Perhaps it was a lack of time, perhaps it was laziness. Anyhow, it' is now down and over. I have aged one more year, played some more vidoe games, drawn, learned a few dance moves, gain a few card tricks, drawn soem more and have successfully endured the rigours of the Vancouver Film School Classical Animation program. But most importantly, through all this I have been able to maintain a great relationship with the girl I love, Jordan.
This year brought great challenges and I am happy to say that I have accomplished them all. Last night at my graduation, 6 months of hard work flashed before the scene in the span of 6 minutes and I was overwhelmed that the crowd responded. All the hard work has not been in vain and this coming year has many opportunities placed upon it. It is just a matter of reaching for it.
I hope that everyone else on the LJ community has harvested a fruitful year as I have. I can hardly wait for Halloween to come by. Have the inkling to go around shirtless wearing a big pumpkin like a hakama. Heh, but I know my GF would disagree.

Been a little while since my last update.
Heh, life's been going quite well. School's going to be getting busy next week with the beginning of final film. Fortunately I've gotten some preliminary work done on it.

What a couple of loving evenings that have fallen across me. It's absolutely beautiful out there. I can feel that feeling in the air that I love from April..
Too bad I'm cooped up in animation class but fortunately, I can open the blinds to the huge windows and let the sun shine through. The assignments are getting longer and more difficult but I've been able to keep up.

A burning passion has been lit inside me. I must reclaim that power that I had last year. Through a vigourous Summer, I shall build my body back to what it was and unleash my powers at the coming battle. Mmmm... Yes, it shall be a fun summer.

It has been a while since an update.
Heh, so much has happened yet it seems so little when I think back to it.
Anyways, I have been continuing my studies at the Vancouver Film School. I'm glad to see that my drawing skills have risen leaps and bounds since October.
I have decided on a focus to my animation studies and that focus is Special Effects. I find it relaxing working on effects and am naturally inclined to do it over character animation or design.

School has been keeping me busy but I still manage to find time to see Shadowgryph at least once a week. I think working at EA gave me the need to always take a day off no matter what and working hard during the time that i'm at school.

For the first time in my life, I had a migraine. Interesting experience. I must remind myself to not stare at a light for more that 4 hours in a row.
In Animation history, we covered anime. Ghibli and Otomo. Two greats.
Ooo... I also discovered something... Mickey Mouse is pretty easy to draw. Such a simple design.
I've been trying out different styles to broaden my skillset and experience. It's such a good idea to try out new and different things especially since when I'm out of school I probably won't have the time to delve into this stuff as much as I can now. Strike while the iron is hot.

At around 3:00pm, I looked out my window and noted that it might rain. I made put my umbrella in my bad and continued to work.
At 4:00pm, I looked outside again to see an unnatural dense fog over the land.
Today was the sweetest fog I had ever seen and it only got denser as the evening went on. It was awesome seeing how everything was transformed by the obscuring fog.
We tried to catch the Harry Potter movie but, of course, it was sold out. Instead, we ate as Stephos and then just hung out in vancouver. All in all a nice evening.

Oh, my it's already 3:00am. Been a while since I've stayed up so late. The reason... Well, for the last 3 hours I've been working on assembling wires for my dad's shipment of Passion For Action Panels. In the mean time, I've been reminded on how late night conversations are so much fun.

I know I'm going to suffer tomorrow...

Hmmm... Been neglecting my LJ for a while so I guess I better post.
VFS has been kicking my butt around overwhelming me with homework and excessive drawing. It's been tough work with long hours but the rewards are coming in. I can definitely feel the confidence growing in my drawing skills. Especially with Crayons. I did a wonderful drawing of Aerith with crayons today at Montana's Steak house. Highly amused how many people people looking at me and commenting on my drawing skills. I guess the schooling is paying off.

The concert was awesome. They played a tonne of the classics, Mario, Sonic, Link, MGS, Warcraft, Halo, etc. All orchestrated and all sounded great.
I cosplayed as Anji Mito and I managed to snag first place at the costume contest. *Cheers.* Won some music CDs and a Sonyu boombox.

Yesterday was pretty fun. Delicious sushi was to be had at Sushi house on Kingsway and then we all went to see some Bands at the Penthouse in Vancouver. Thomas wanted us to see Britt Black but when he also mentioned some of the other bands, something rung in me. One band was called Vincent Black Shadow. I racked my head to why that name was so familiar and it just so happened to be the band that a co-worker at EA was the lead vocalist for. Her name is Cassandra Ford and she's this tiny half Phillapino, half british girl. It's so interesting to hear her sing with a deep voice when her voice is normally so high. The bands were all pretty good and thank goodness that Thomas brought ear plugs or my ears would have been ringing a lot more than they were.

Today, I had dimsum in the morning with my family and then went to Metrotown. There was supposed to be a gettogether there at 2:00pm. I waited half-an-hour for people and then left. At least I was able to get home and then head to the Rec Centre where I did a good work out on my chest and triceps. After that, I had dinner with my parents at an All-you-can eat East Indian Restaurant. I feel so bloated.

On this day I find myself 25 years old and I look forward to what the next 25 will bring.

The year has been good to me.
I've been working at EA for the last year on several projects including NBA Street Vol.3, NHL 06, NBA Live 06 PSP and NBA Live 06 XBOX 360. I ended my time as a tester and quit so that I may devote my coming year to the Vancouver Film School.
Relationships spun this year and a great summer of personal growth was associated with it. Lost some, won some, but in the end I reaped the benefits.
It seems that my con persona has gotten a little boost. Anji Mito was as strong as ever with the inclusion of customizable fans. I'm fairly happy with my RO Merchant and Zack costume. The big surprise came from Ichimaru Gin. That white wig really turned some heads and it will be a great asset for many other costumes.
My drawings feels that it remained somewhat stagnant over the year. I did not complete any large work other than a portrait of Aerith but the amount of sketching I have done has increased. It is my rough design and basic anatomy that has been upgraded, I believe.
Physically, I am stronger than last year and it is still my aim to better this body of mine.
It would also seem that this year is the death of my Aerith obsession. Well, she will always bear as strong presence in my mind but the pure obsessive nature of her is over.
I gained a new car. RED 2 is her name and she did a great journey to Seattle and back. It would seem that she is the envy of many people simply because she was so cheap and reliable. I guess I'm just lucky with cars. Oh yeah, that reminds me. This year was the first year in my 7 year driving career that I've gotten a traffic violation. Got caught doing 10mph in a 80mph zone in Washington. *Cheers.*

The coming year will be a whole new experience filled with trials but if I remain strong and diligent, I shall finally reach something that I've wanted for the last few years.
I am now a full time student at the Vancouver Film School for Classical Animation. The workload is stacked but I shall persevere. I shall learn the skills necessary to become a professional artist. What comes after that.... well, I will have to come back to you on my next birthday.
Sakura-con 2006 will not be an option for me but I definitely know that I will be attending AE 2006. I plan on reworking my Zack costume to cash in on the Final Fantasy 7 interest.
With the need to draw so much in my courses, I want to actually produce some finished more works this year and perhaps sell them at cons again to gain some income.
In dealing with relationships, I kinda want to find one a little more stable than the ones that I have experienced. Perhaps this is the year? I won't hold my breath but I will keep my eyes open.

Final Fantasy Advent Children!!!

Oh, why are you so beautiful? Such perfect action choreography telling a story that deserved such a good conclusion like this.
I thought I would be merely taken by my Aerith obsession but the whole movie shines through and reminds me what I truly love about Final Fantasy.

Over the weekend a few fruits of my Fairy Tale story have ripened.
I managed to draw two characters from my story.

Hmmm... Gotta make sure that I don't suck in too much time into those games.

I've been getting a fair bit of drawing in the daily routine and I have to thank the promising yet disappointing Brothers Grimm movie to spark my need to express myself artfully. I've been working on that Fairy Tale story that Nat and I worked on for a bit a few summers ago. Did a character sketch of Lil Bo Peep and I'm feeling good about the results so far. Need to concept a couple more of the players and a few maybe get something in writing.

Over a week of thoughts, I have decided to try out a relationship that for a particular reason I would not normally go for I'm feeling that my shallow nature will eventually get the best of me but it will be an interesting learning experience before the end game comes.

Yay! CNL had a labour day sale and I was able to pick up some horror titles that I've been wanting to get.
